A court in Yekaterinburg, Russia sentenced Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich to 16 years in prison for espionage.
Gershkovich is accused of "collecting secret information" about a tank factory on orders of the CIA. The U.S. government, the WSJ and Gershkovich all deny the charges against him.
No evidence of wrongdoing has been presented to the public.
