WNBA Single-Season Scoring Record Broken

A’ja Wilson, center for WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, broke the single-season scoring record with 956. Seattle Storm guard Jewell Loyd set the previous record last year with 939.

Wilson has 4 games remaining in this season and could be the first player to reach 1,000 points in a year if she averages only 11 points in each game, which she holds the WNBA lead with an average of 27.3 points per game.

Wilson is also on her way to possibly becoming MVP for the third time in the league.
