With the Los Angeles Clippers in the midst of a six game losing streak and five straight since James Harden made his debut, Russell Westbrook requested to be moved to a bench role in hopes to help the team's starting lineup establish more continuity.
Westbrook had been averaging 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in 30.7 minutes per game as a starter.
*** The Clippers won their first game Friday night with Westbrook coming off the bench 106-100 over the Houston Rockets snapping their six game losing streak.
