Walgreens announced they would cut prices on 1,300 items including snacks, vitamins, hand creams and feminine hygiene products to name a few.
Walgreens is the latest company to take awareness of consumer price sensitivities.
Walgreen joins Target and Walmart who recently announced price cuts last week.
Tracey Brown, Walgreen Chief Customer Officer said, “Walgreens understands our customers are under financial strain and struggle to purchase everyday essentials… We continue to be committed to our customers by lowering prices on over a thousand additional items, something we’ve been doing since October of 2023.”
