Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller has turned himself in to the Glenn Heights Police Department on Thursday. An arrest warrant had been issued on him for the charge of assaulting a pregnant woman. He was taken to the DeSoto regional jail, posted a $5,000 bond and then released.
According to the arrest warrant, Miller grabbed the neck of the alleged victim and applied pressure multiple times during their argument. He also caused her to fall by yanking her hair and pulling a chunk of it out. She was identified as Miller's longtime girlfriend.
Police say she had "minor abrasions" on her left hand and bruising on her abdomen , left bicep, and neck that is "consistent with applied pressure."
Assaulting a pregnant woman is a third-degree felony charge in Texas.
