VMA Winners

MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMA’s) were held last night in New York’s USB Arena. This year’s host was Megan Thee Stallion and was dominated by Taylor Swift, who broke more records with most wins in history by a solo artist with 30.

Swift, winning almost all the awards she was nominated for, also broke her own record when she won Video of the Year for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone. Swift is the only artist in history to three-peat the Video of the Year award and to have won it five times as well.

Swift also took away the Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Editing and Best Direction awards.

Eminem has become the male artist with the most awards with 15 when he won the Best Hip-Hop award with “Houdini.”

Best New Artist was Chappell Roan; Best R & B was Sza with “Snooze;” Best Alternative was Benson Boone with “Beautiful Things;” Best Rock was Lenny Kravitz with “Human;” Video for Good was Billie Eilish with “What Was I Made For.”

Katy Perry took away the VMA’s Most Iconic Performance with “Roar” and MTV’s take on the “lifetime achievement award,” the Video Vanguard award.
