Four young Venezuelan migrants were apprehended in a violent attack of a male citizen riding the train in broad daylight. All four listed their address as one of the migrant shelters.
They are being charged for beating and robbing the 49-year-old man on Saturday afternoon. The victim was also allegedly choked until he passed out but he is said to be recovering from the attack.
Police arrested the group in less than an hour after the attack. Three of the men are already facing prior charges of stealing from retail stores and are being held until their next hearing later this week.
Between the city, county and state, roughly $1 billion has been spent on the migrants in Illinois and has the citizens of Chicago outraged.
