Vikings Rookie, Jackson Killed in Car Crash

Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson was killed in a car crash early Saturday morning along with two of his former high school teammates.

The car the three were in was struck by another vehicle that was speeding and changing lanes just after 3am.

The 24-year-old Jackson and Isaiah Hazel (23) were pronounced dead at the scene. Anthony Lytton Jr. (24) died at a hospital in Prince George's County, according to Maryland State Police. Nobody was injured in the car that caused the crash or the third vehicle.

Jackson was drafted in the fourth round by the Vikings in this year's NFL Draft in April.

"I am absolutely crushed by this news. Khyree brought a contagious energy to our facility and our team. His confidence and engaging personality immediately drew his teammates to him," Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said.
