Houston Astros right-handed starter Justin Verlander has moved passed Hall of Famer Greg Maddux and into 10th place on Major League Baseball's all-time strikeouts list.
Verlander finished with nine strikeouts Friday night for a total of 3,377. He gave up one run on eight hits over six innings notching his 260th career win.
If he reaches 140 innings this season, he'll pick up his 2025 vesting option.
Next up on the K's list for Verlander to catch is Walter Johnson with 3,509 sitting in 9th place.
