Verlander, Montgomery Making Season Debuts

Houston Astros right-handed starter Justin Verlander will be making his season debut tonight versus the Washington Nationals, in Nationals Park at 6:45pm in Washington D.C..


Verlander has been sidelined with shoulder inflammation in his right shoulder. He made two rehab starts, giving up 13 runs (11 earned) on 14 hits, along with 9 K's through 7 innings. 


Arizona Diamondbacks left-handed starter Jordan Montgomery will be making his season debut tonight versus the San Francisco Giants, in Oracle Park at 10:15pm in San Francisco, California. 


Montgomery made two starts in the minors allowing 9 earned runs, and 2 homers in 7.2 innings, with 9 K's and 5 walks. He signed a 1 year $25 million contract on March 29th, so he has been ramping up for his debut in the minors.
