UConn Gives Hurley New Extension

Updated: Jul 8

The University of Connecticut Huskies have signed head coach Dan Hurley to a new 6 year, $50 million contract extension keeping him court side for UConn through the 2029-30 season.

Hurley had signed a 6 year extension last year worth $32.1 million.  Now with back-to-back national titles, UConn reworked the deal to increase his annual salary and added performance incentives.

Through the six seasons since Hurley the program in 2018, UConn amassed a 141-58 record.

"It's an honor to coach basketball at UConn and to represent this world class institution and the great state of Connecticut. We are extremely proud of the championship program that we have rebuilt for our supporters and fans. We will continue to obsessively pursue championships and historic success while continuing to develop great young men," Hurley said.
