President Donald Trump's attorney in the New York civil fraud trial, Alina Habba announced over the weekend during a Fox News interview that she plans to file for a mistrial "very soon" and demanded New York Attorney General Leticia James dismiss the case.
She said although she will file for a retrial imminently, the motion will depend on far-left judge Arthur Engoron. He issued a gag order on Trump.
The problem is, with all of these things, such as filing a motion for recusal, which we have twice, is that the judge has to be the one that decides, is he going to recuse himself? Does he feel that there was a mistrial? It's a bench trial. We have one judge. And it's the same judge that issued the gag order that has to make those determinations. So at this point, I don't have any reason to believe he shouldn't after what we have learned, if it's true," Habba said.
