In almost 24 hours, Trump had around 3.5 million followers.
Trump posted his first video on Saturday night featuring himself and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White at UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey.
As of Wednesday afternoon Trump had racked up 5.6 million followers and his first video has now amassed more than 87 million views.
President Biden's TikTok account has 360,100 followers and Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who joined the platform long before both Trump and Biden, has 1.3 million followers.
