Tropical Storm Rafael is located in the Caribbean Sea and is expected to come up the Gulf of Mexico as a category 1 or 2 hurricane by Tuesday night.
Rafael is currently south of the Cayman Islands, passing closely by Jamaica bringing tropical storm conditions on Tuesday. Winds are at 60 mph and is moving northwest.
The Cayman Islands can expect hurricane conditions by Tuesday night and western and central Cuba can expect landfall on Wednesday.
The Lower and Middle Florida Keys could possibly feel tropical storm conditions beginning Wednesday evening/night when Rafael moves into the southern Gulf of Mexico.
There is currently no clear path of Rafael’s track or intensity, but the majority of the spaghetti plots show it well off the west coast of Florida.
