Alleged Tren de Aragua Venezuelan gang member and fugitive of the law has been found in Miami. Abrahan DeJesus Mavo-Bracho, 20, was arrested after an incident at Dolphin Mall, Sweetwater, a city in Miami, FL.
Mavo-Bracho crossed the border illegally in El Paso, Texas in May, was sent to Chicago with an ankle monitor, which he since cut off himself and headed to Florida. He was scheduled to have an immigration hearing in 2025.
Authorities caught Mavo-Bracho after allegedly a victim approached an officer complaining Mavo-Bracho along with a group he was with threatened him.
When the officer approached the group, Mavo-Brach pushed the officer and ran away. Another officer on the scene was able to tase Mavo-Brach before he tried getting into a getaway car. Officers also found two Nike bags with merchandise totaling about $1,100 without a receipt. The store’s manager was able to confirm the merchandise was stolen.
Mavo-Brach is charged with grand theft, battery on an officer and resisting an officer. He is currently in jail in Miami-Dade on an immigration hold.
