Tito Jackson, the third of nine children died at age 70. Part of the beloved, famous family group, The Jackson 5, Tito was the guitar player and background singer. Along with his four brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael, the group produced several No. 1 hits in the 1970’s including “ABC,” “I’ll Be There,” and “I Want you Back.” The Jackson 5 was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
The Jackson brothers were still performing and had shows lined up for October and November this year.
Tito’s sons posted on Instagram and Facebook, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
His 3 sons TJ, Taj, and Taryll, his grandchildren, his brothers Jermaine, Randy, Marlon and Jackie, his sisters Janet, Rebbie and Latoya their mother Katherine survived Tito.
