Teen In Custody From Times Square Shooting

Fifteen-year-old suspect in the Times Square shooting last week is being held in custody without bail. Jesus Alejandro Rivas Figueroa is being charged as an adult and faces assault, two counts of attempted murder, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges.


Figueroa was caught in a home in Yonkers on Friday afternoon after he opened fire in a sports store Thursday night, where he injured one tourist and shot at an officer while fleeing the scene. He is also a suspect in two additional cases including an armed robbery on January 27th in the Bronx and a shots fired incident near a mid-town park.


The D.A. will present the case to a grand jury tomorrow.
