An asteroid, similar in size of the Empire State Building, will be passing by Earth today.
There is no chance of seeing the asteroid, nor of it hitting Earth as it is 1.7 million miles away.
NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office is in charge of detecting the near-Earth asteroids. In the month of January, they have found 34,151.
