U.S. Secret Service (USSS) Director Kim Cheatle announced on Tuesday that she has resigned.
After her horrible appearance on Monday in front of the House Oversight Committee, where she gave no answers and showed her incompetence and outright lies as she attempted to cover up for the handling of the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump on July 13th, in Butler, Pennsylvania, there was a bipartisan call for her resignation.
"I take full responsibility for the security lapse. In light of recent events, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your director," Cheatle wrote in the email sent to Secret Service staff.
