For the second straight year, Scottie Scheffler has won the Players Championship.
Scheffler tied the tournament record for lowest round score by a winner with 64 to pull off the biggest final round comeback in Players Championship history. He went into the final round trailing by five shots and came storming back to win by one stroke to become the first player to win the tournament in consecutive years.
The World #1 came into the tournament holding the top spot in both the World Golf Ranking and the FedEx Cup Standings.
He became the first FedEx Cup leader to win the Players Championship since Tiger Woods in 2013 and first World #1 (fourth overall) to win since Jason Day won it in 2016.
