For the first time in almost a decade, the Kansas City Royals are heading to the postseason.
Despite losing 3-0 to the Atlanta Braves on Friday night at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, the Royals clinched their first playoff berth since 2015 when the Minnesota Twins lost 7-2 at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the Baltimore Orioles.
The Royals punching their ticket to the postseason comes just a year removed from their franchise worst 106 losses in 2023.
