With sailings for the next few weeks having been suspended, Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas cruise ship will assist approximately 100 Americans evacuate from Israel. The ship will transport US citizens from Haifa, Israel to Limassol, Cypress today. All passengers must either be a US citizen, or an immediate family member of a US citizen, including spouses and children under 21 years old. Passengers are able to bring one bag up to 50 pounds and one carry-on bag. Pets are not allowed on board. All Travelers were asked to sign an “Evacuee Manifest and Promissory Note” as an agreement to repay for the cost of the evacuation. All passengers will also be responsible for their travel beyond Cypress.
The voyage on board is about 170 miles and will last between 10-12 hours. Food and Wi-Fi will be available for guests, although they will not be assigned an individual stateroom. It is not confirmed if the cruise line will assist additional Americans, or other countries evacuate Israel until it’s next sailing on November 12th, when it will depart from Spain on a 2-week transatlantic cruise.
