Rondo Officially Retires

After a 16-year career, point guard Rajon Rondo is officially calling it quits.

Rondo hasn't played since 2022 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Drafted 21st overall in 2006 by the Phoenix Suns. The Suns traded him to the Boston Celtics. He spent most of his career with the Celtics.

Rondo also spent time with the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks and the Los Angeles Clippers.

"I'm done. I'd rather spend time with my kids. It was definitely something that I never took for granted while I was in the game. I loved every minute of it, and I appreciate the brotherhood that I was able to share and bond and grow with over the years. I've learned so much in this game, and it's made me the man who I am today," Rondo said.

In 957 career games, Rondo averaged...

9.8 PPG,  7.9 APG, 4.5 RPG,  1.6 SPG

*** PPG = points per game.

*** APG = assists per game.

*** RPG = rebounds per game.

*** SPG = steals per game.
