Grammy-winning singer and pianist Roberta Flack well known for her songs “Killing Me Softly with His Song”, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and other hits that have made her one of the top recording artists in the 1970’s has died at the age of 88.
In November 2022 Flack revealed that she was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and could no longer sing. This disease is known for being a progressive illness that impacts nerve cells which causes paralysis then death.
Roberta Flacks cause of death was cardiac arrest.
