Rice Makes History in New York

New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice became the first Yankees rookie in franchise history to hit three home runs in a game to help end the Yanks four game losing streak.

Rice went 3-5 with 3 HR's, 7 RBI's and 3 runs scored in the 14-4 blowout of the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium on Saturday.

Batting in the leadoff spot, Rice led off the game with a solo shot off Red Sox starter Josh Winckowski. In the fifth inning he added a 3-run homer off reliever Chase Anderson. Rice capped off his day with another 3-run shot in the seventh inning off Anderson.
