Reverse Migration Spike

Updated: Feb 26

Since President Trump took office, border apprehensions have plunged, some are reversing their trek, and before even reaching the border, migrants are turning around.

Following President Trump’s executive policies and crackdown on illegal entry, border apprehensions are down about 90% at the Mexican (and similar in Panama) borders.

Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks said, “In the first two weeks of February they have witnessed over 500 migrants turning back south.”

Images of ICE arrests, thousands being deported by air, checkpoints set up on the interstate and many migrants leaving Mexico on buses.

Banks said, “There’s no more catch and release, you’re going to be apprehended, you’re going to be returned to your country and that’s spreading like wildfire all over social media.”

There’s currently no asylum, no app, no free busses, no free hotels, no lawful entry and deportations in any country migrants are passing through. This is having a major deterrent affect.
