Several minutes after 1 a.m. Thursday, rapper Travis Scott, given name Jacques Webster, was taken into custody in Miami Beach for disorderly intoxication and trespassing.
Authorities arrived to the Miami Beach Marina after receiving a call about a disturbance near one of the yachts to find Scott “standing by the dock, yelling at the vessel occupants.”
Officers asked Scott to sit down, which he did at first, but then “began continuously standing back up disregarding officers commands.” The affidavit said officers noticed “a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants breath.”
The complainant didn’t want to press charges; he just wanted Scott off of the vessel.
After the threat of arrest, Scott agreed to leave the dock, but “throughout the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk, the defendant walked backwards yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel.”
Five minutes later, Scott began walking back toward the yacht, ignoring authorities orders to stop and again was “becoming erratic” and “disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings causing a public disturbance.”
