For the first time since 2011, the Texas Rangers are heading to the World Series. It is their third AL pennant in franchise history.
Just two years after losing 102 games the Rangers crushed the Houston Astros 11-4 in game #7 on Monday night to punch their ticket to the World Series. Every game of this series was won by the road team. This was only the second time in playoff history that the road team won all seven games of the series.
Ardolis Garcia was named ALCS MVP. He went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, 5 RBI's in game #7.
The Rangers now await the winner of tonight's game #7 of the Arizona Diamondbacks/Philadelphia Phillies series.
