David DePape, 44, was sentenced to life in prison without parole after he broke into the Pacific Heights home of and attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer. Paul Pelosi is the husband of Representative and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
A jury in San Francisco found DePape guilty of five counts in the state trial including; aggravated kidnapping resulting in bodily harm or death, first-degree residential burglary, false imprisonment of an elder or dependent adult, threats against an elected official or their family and preventing or dissuading a witness by force or threat.
San Francisco County Superior Judge Harry Dorfman said, “It’s my intention that Mr. DePape will never get out of prison, he can never be paroled.”
