The United States Senate has officially confirmed President Donald Trump's pick to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Kash Patel.
Patel was confirmed as the ninth director of the FBI by a vote of 51-49.
The two Republicans voting against Patel's nomination was Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Maine Senator Susan Collins.
