Panthers Win First Stanley Cup in Franchise History

The 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Finals came to an end on Monday night with the Florida Panthers winning their first Championship in franchise history.

Making just its third trip to the title round in its 30-year history, the Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in game seven to capture their first Stanley Cup Final Championship.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced.

Florida avoided a historic collapse after going up 3-0, and then losing the next three games.

The win kept them from joining the 1942 Detroit Red Wings as the only teams in NHL history to lose in the Championship round after taking a 3-0 series lead.
