The Washington Capitals have announced that forward J.T. Oshie will be placed on the long-term injured reserve (LTIR) for the start of the upcoming season.
Oshie appeared in only 52 games last season dealing with a chronic back injury. Over the last three years he has been limited to an average 51 games per season due to injuries.
