On May 22, 1843, the pioneers head west on the Oregon Trail. Thousands of pioneers departed from Elm Grove, Missouri forming a “wagon train” across the country. The “wagon train” was comprised of over 100 wagons along with a herd of 5,000 oxen and cattle trailing behind.
