On April 7, 1977, the Toronto Blue Jays played their first official Major League Baseball game. It was a snowy afternoon in Exhibition Stadium and a Zamboni machine was used to clear the field. The Blue Jays defeated Chicago White Sox 9-5 in front of more than 44,000 fans.
