On This Day In History

On February 7, 1964, the Beatles land in Kennedy Airport in New York. The band was greeted by thousands of screaming fans. “Beatlemania” stormed America after their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. An estimated 73 million viewers watched the episode. The Beatles had their first American concert at the Coliseum in Washington, D.C. where 20,000 fans attended on February 11.
