On This Day In History

On January 9, 1976, the now classic film Rocky began filming. The movie was written and starred by Sylvester Stallone. The entire film was shot in 28 days with a $1 million budget. Stallone wouldn’t sell his script and wouldn’t let anyone but himself play the lead roll. Eventually Stallone got what he wanted and the film won an Oscar for Best Picture and grossed over $200 million.
