On This Day In History

On November 5, 1940, Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) was re-elected for unheard-of third term as President of the United States. This was before Amendment 22 was ratified on February 27, 1951, limiting a president to only serve two terms. FDR became the first and only president to ever be elected for four terms.
