On This Day In History

On November 1, 1512, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel opened to the public for the first time. It took Michelangelo Buonarroti, one of the Italian Renaissance’s greatest artists, over 4 years to complete the famous ceiling located in Vatican City, a city-state that is an enclave in Rome, Italy.
