Ohtani Sets Dodgers Record

The Los Angeles Dodgers star designated hitter Shohei Ohtani set a Dodgers franchise record on Wednesday night with an RBI in ten straight games.

Ohtani set the franchise record in just his 79th game with the Dodgers.

Shohei went into last night's game tied at 9 straight games with Roy Campanella (1955), Augie Galan (1944) and Eddie Brown (1924) for consecutive games with an RBI in a single season. Matt Kemp also had an RBI in nine straight games but his was over 2 seasons (2011-2012).

"There have been a lot of opportunities with runners on base. All I'm trying to do is have quality at-bat, so I think it's the result of that. Really, my approach is to swing at strikes and just making sure that my posture and everything is lined up," Ohtani said after the game through interpreter Will Ireton.
