Ohtani Continues to Make History

Just days after making history as the fastest and one of only 2 players to have 40 homers and 15 stolen bases, Shohei Ohtani is at it again. With the Los Angels Angels 4-1 win over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night Ohtani (10-5) picked up his 10th win of the season making him the first player in MLB history to have 10 wins and 40 home runs in a season. He allowed 1 unearned run on 3 hits over 6 innings. He also passed Babe Ruth as the only player in Major League history to have multiple seasons of 10 wins and 10 home runs. Ruth accomplished the feat in 1918 when he had 11 home runs and 13 wins for the season.
