O.J. Dies at 76

NFL superstar and Hollywood actor Orenthal James (OJ) Simpson has passed away after his battle with cancer at the age of 76 on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Simpson's NFL career lasted 11 seasons, nine of them with the Buffalo Bills. It was with the Bills when he got the nickname "The Juice."

He won four NFL rushing titles on his way to 11,236 career rushing yards, scored 76 touchdowns and was in five Pro Bowls. He was the first running back to break the 2,000 rushing mark when he did it in 1973 when he ran for 2,003 yards.

Nowadays, Simpson is most known for being charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles in June of 1994. The white Bronco slow speed chase and his arrest was covered live on TV.

It was dubbed the "Trial of the century" on live TV.

A criminal court jury found him not guilty in 1995 but was later found liable in civil court in 1997 for the deaths and ordered to pay $33.5 million to family members of both Brown and Goldman.
