Owners of more than 80,000 older models of Nissan vehicles are being warned not to drive them. Nissan is recalling vehicles with the Takata airbag inflators, saying they could explode in a crash and propel dangerous metal fragments.
Nissan is encouraging anyone owning one of the affected vehicles to take immediate action. Vehicle owners can get their repairs done for free at an authorized Nissan dealership.
Vehicles include some models of the Nissan Sentra, Pathfinder, and Infinity QX4 made from 2002–2006.
