Here's an update on the happenings in the NFL this week.
- The New York Jets have traded wide receiver Mecole Hardman to the Kansas City Chief. Full details were not released but the Jets sent Hardman and a 2025 7th round pick to the Chiefs in exchange for the Chiefs 6th round pick in 2025. Hardman spent his first four years with the Chiefs.
- The Philadelphia Eagles have signed seven time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones to a one year contract. - The Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is expected to return Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens. He was out due to a hamstring injury. -The Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to return Sunday versus the Indianapolis Colts. He was out the last 2 games with a right shoulder injury.
- The Buffalo Bills have placed running back Damien Harris on the injured reserve list. In a corresponding move the Bills signed running back Ty Johnson and added him to the roster.
- The NFL owners and commissioner Roger Goodell have agreed to a three year contract extension through March 2027. The value of the contract was not released.
- Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones has been arrested for a second time in a month for violating a domestic violence temporary protection order.
