NFL Inks 3 Year Deal With Netflix

The National Football League (NFL) has announced it signed a 3-year deal with streaming service Netflix to broadcast two Christmas Day games this year and at least one holiday matchup each season through 2026.

This will be the first ever NFL games streamed on Netflix.

This year's Christmas Day matchups are...

Pittsburgh Steelers host the Kansas City Chiefs at 1pm.

Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens at 4:30pm.

"Last year, we decided to take a big bet on live, tapping into massive fandoms across comedy, reality TV, sports and more. There are no live annual events, sports or otherwise, that compare with the audiences NF: football attracts. We're so excited that the NFL's Christmas Day games will be only on Netflix," Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria said in a statement.

"We couldn't be more excited to be the first professional sports league to partner with Netflix to bring live games to fans around the world. The NFL on Christmas has become a tradition, and to partner with Netflix, a service whose biggest day of the year is typically this holiday, is the perfect combination to grow this event globally for NFL fans," NFL Executive Vice President of Media Distribution Hans Schroeder said.
