The U.S. Navy SEALs were on a mission off the coast of Somalia, as they were engaged in operations to seize Iranian-made weapons heading for the Houthis in Yemen when two SEALs went missing.
Due to turbulent seas during a night time boarding of a boat where the weapons were discovered, one SEAL fell into the water. The second SEAL jumped in after him to attempt a rescue.
After a 10 day search that covered 21,000 square miles by U.S., Japanese and Spanish forces, the U.S. military has declared that the two missing SEALs are presumed dead.
