MLB Announces MVP Award Winners

Major League Baseball announced its MVP Award Winners for the American and National League. Both winners won unanimously. This marked the first time in modern MLB MVP Award's history that the winners in both leagues were unanimous.

Here are your winners..

American League..

Shohei Ohtani - Los Angeles Angels

Ohtani became the first player in MLB history to win two MVP Awards unanimously. He also won it in 2021 unanimously..


National League..

Ronald Acuna Jr - Atlanta Braves

Acuna capped an historic season for the Braves by bringing home his first MVP Award.

He was the first player in MLB history to hit 40 or more home runs and steal at least 70 bases. His season stats were

.337 batting average, 41 homers, 149 runs scored, 106 RBI's and 73 stolen bases in 159 games.

Acuna was the first player to lead the league in hits, runs, on-base percentage, OPS and total bases since 1967 when Carl Yastrzemski did it with the Boston Red Sox.

"From the day that I got to the league, right away, I always knew that I wanted to win an MVP. It was always a dream of mine and I'm living a dream come true," Acuna said through an interpreter.
