Minnesota Twins third baseman Jose Miranda became just the fourth player in MLB history to have a hit in 12 consecutive at bats on Saturday.
With his third inning hit, Miranda tied Bernie Williams (2002) and Dustin Pedroia (2016) as the only three expansion-era (1961) players to have a hit in 11 straight at bats.
In the fourth inning, Miranda singled off Houston Astros starter Hunter Brown to set a new expansion-era (1961) record with 12 straight at bats with a hit.
Miranda joined Johnny Kling (Chicago Cubs, 1902), Pinky Higgins (Boston Red Sox, 1938), and Walt Dropo (Detroit Tigers, 1952) as the only four players in MLB history to have a hit in 12 consecutive at bats.
