In a historic moment, two Congressmen-elects flipped their votes from “other” to Republican Leader Mike Johnson.
Texas Congressman-elect Keith Self who initially voted for Byron Donalds and South Carolina Congressman-elect Ralph Norman who initially voted for Jim Jordan, in a dramatic fashion, approached the bench to change their vote, which ended up giving Mike Johnson from Louisiana the 218 majority he needed to remain Speaker. Opponent and Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries ended up with 215 votes.
