Although Mike Evans of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers missed 3 games this season with a hamstring injury, he still met his goal. Evans achieved 1,000+ receiving yards for 11 straight seasons and is tied with Jerry Rice once again. Since the 31-year-old wide receiver hit 1,000+ in the year he’s secured a 3-million-dollar bonus.
The Buccaneers have selected Evans as their nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the year award. This is Mike Evans' 4th time being nominated because he’s recognized for his outstanding community service activities and his excellence on the field.
Evans is known off the field for helping to provide children with opportunities to help make their dreams come true. Mike Evans also works with women who were victims of domestic violence by helping them back on their feet. He also provides so much more with the Mike Evans Family Foundation.
The Bucs star received an honor from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. In a Statement, DeSantis said “Florida celebrates Mike Evans for his profound dedication to the sport of football, making countless memories for fans across the Sunshine State and across the country.”
DeSantis announced that January 10th is officially Mike Evans Day!!
Congratulations to Mike Evans on all his accomplishments this season. Your fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for next season!!
