Karen Bass, Los Angeles mayor vows the 2028 Summer Olympics will be car-free. Bass said, “It is our goal in Los Angeles to have a car-free games… It means that if you are going to attend any of the sports venue, you are going to have to take public transportation.”
Bass said they will rely on thousands of buses to make it work and will borrow from near by cities and states to follow through with the plan. Bass is also asking businesses to allow employees to work from home if possible during that time.
Bass said, “We’re working to ensure that we can build a greener Los Angeles.”
